I picked up MPD-Psycho again after several million years and was struck by a wave of confusion.
I do not know what is going on.
What I would like is for someone to intricately summarize the plot from volume 1 to 10. Re-reading it didn't help. I especially want to understand how Tetora managed imitate others' memories, give heart attacks and about the whole Lucy Phenomenon. What was the role of Toguchi's hobo friend?
And a small inquiry regarding 11: what was the purpose of the "murder reenactment"?

I can't give you an intricate summary of vol 1 to 10, but I could give you some explanations on some bits. The Lucy Monostone phenomenon is there because he is the root on why all the killings happened. His music influenced people to kill blah blah (oh no I don't know what I'm saying lol)
The murder reenactment of course is to see what the victim saw when she died. There are eyeballs there, correct? The victims were barcode samples and data were stored in their eye, probably. It's definitely futuristic so who knows how it worked >__>;;;

rosey, I think we changed murder reenactment in page 84 to projection of what the victim saw, thats the eye ball thingy. the murder reenactment video is the gory video from Bai-san. Bai-san was trying to show Shinji what happened in the hotel, cos Shinji wasnt there when they discovered the corpse at the hotel. Shinji was trying to solve the Mirror Man case, and he needed more clues, I think he (or Yousuke at least) was good in profiling just based on the victim's corpse condition >.>;; remember in MPD vol 1, when Isono Machi-san visited Amamiya/Yousuke/Shinji in a jail and he solved the case just by looking at pics of corpses (the cannibalism/anorexic case).
Lucy Monostone is a very influential singer, he has the ability to hypnotise or to influence people into the trans state and make them do things eg killings lalala (Lucy's Phenomenon) --> his songs retained this ability. Lucy died in a mass-suicide event, triggered by himself. He was popular in the 70's. His interesting personality intrigued many of his fans and they tried to resurrect Lucy's personality by combining a lot of sub-personalities. All those personalities combined together will give us Lucy: ressurrected. Gakuso was the company who created samples/clones with different personalities (and they were all under genetic-control: scientifically impossibible >.> but just accept it). These personalities could not be easily combined, cos some of them were problematic. The white-haired guy and the photographer were copying and distributing Lucy's songs and this caused the clones to be influenced by Lucy and they started to kill other clones.
I believe some special personalities, eg Machi's sister, and Tetora, had the same ability to trigger Lucy's Phenomenon, they caused people to kill each other.
I hope I made sense, I dont have the time to re-read MPD at all lately (exams) so I wrote this summary based on what I remembered from MPD @_@

Yeah, I was speaking of the video Bai-san showed Shinji. I assumed it was a record of the event until the term "murder reenactment" set my thoughts astray. Or was it an act to prepare evidence for Kobayashi?

@avulsion: I think there will be a race between Shinji and Yousuke here... even though the weird thing is Shimazu (supposedly mirror man?) and C and Kazuhiko know each other, and C and Kazuhiko know Shinji, but they never tell Shinji that mirror man is Shimazu...?? >.>;;; let's see what happens next
